Botox

A prescription medicine, known as a neurotoxin, is injected into muscles to temporarily improve moderate-to-severe frown lines. This non-surgical treatment is injected directly into the muscles and works by blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles.

Works best for: Frown lines, dimpled or pocked skin, lines around the eyes or mouth.

Downtime: Virtually none. Minor redness, swelling and possible bruising at the injection site.
