Angiomas

Definition:

Bright red to deep purple lesions that occur primarily on the chest unaccompanied by any other symptoms.

What Causes Angiomas:

Increased hormone levels or other underlying medical conditions can be the cause, however, there are many variants of this condition. They can appear in conjunction with serious hepatic (liver-related) illnesses like cirrhosis.

Management Strategy:

Lesions are easily removed by surgery or vascular lasers.
